My bikes....

Few of the old girls....the silver Higgins track bike was built by my grandfather in the 40's for the Russian team to ride at Herne Hill in the Olympics. It was never used as the team didn't come over.......so it's a pretty cool old bike.....

Very nice collection of bikes 👍 I really like the Daccordi, the Bianchi and the Pinarello. I have myself a blue Stelvio frame as well which I am building up and which says hello

Nice. I found the Stelvio on eBay. Turned out I built the bike in 1994 for the gent when I worked at a shop locally called Dauphine Sport. They where the days......

I have a Stelvio too, think I paid £100 for the frameset about 25 years ago, classic bikes😁

Cheers for the comments........the DeRosa on the other post is also lovely.......love a retro road bike. I have new bikes, but these are soulless compared to a nice steel whip

Have you got a bit more info about the Higgins? That’s an interesting back-story!
We thinks it's one of the original frames built by my grandfather in 1948. The serial no matches up to the right date, but Higgins was based out of Crystal Palace, where my Grandfather was from. My father actually found the frame. The paints all original. I have another Higgins I have just finished, a 1951 road bike. I will post some pics of that, along with my Great Grandfathers Time trial trophy from 1898!!!!

Nice batch of old Italian steel, I've got half a dozen old Italians with more modern kit and I agree modern carbon bikes are soulless and boring looking in comparison.

I live not far from Crystal Palace and Herne Hill so very much looking forward to hearing more and seeing pics of your 51 Higgins and the time trial bike from the 1800's!!:)
