Thanks Dave, was given to me by another Dave, a captain in our army and all round nice bloke :) also a keen cyclist. His missus "suggested" he give it to me. Drove a 120 mile round trip to do so. I think you're right, it's light and I think it will make a nice bike. I'm not to worried what it is, just would be nice to know.
 
Thank you very much - I don't have a 26er at the moment (Goose died recently) and if Frannie works out, it will be a few years before I get an MTB.
But I do love the look of fat deep MTB rims.
 
1994 Raleigh Randonneur spare parts bin build. Only new parts are the chainset, chain, cassette, cantilevers, cables and tape. Painted with Upol self etch and black Hammerite.
