Middleburn chainset help

Hi all,

I've recently bought myself a mid 90s Middleburn chainset and there's some paint loss within the engraved logo, does anyone have a foolproof (literally) way of reapplying this?. Any advice gratefully received.

Not sure if it’s foolproof but I planned to use some model enamel paint and a super fine brush to touch up the lettering once I’ve finished polishing my rs7’s.

If it were me doing this (and I may do too), I'd use some enamel or similar, fine brush and a steady hand and fill as neatly as possible. At this point I'd let it dry and use a sanding block to lightly remove anything out of the lines. Or a sharp blade perhaps?

sounds like I might be getting the paints out , was kinda hoping someone would say that a sharpie works great! .

As the others have mentioned, just paint it, I wouldn’t be too concerned about neatness just get a rag with the appropriate paint thinners and wipe off excess/overspill.
Wait for paint to cure but it’ll be easier to wipe off before it has fully hardened. Test on inner face of crank first.
It can also help to wrap the thinners infused rag around a flat block of wood.

Do all my pedals with humbrol model paint. Same as above, paint over, wipe off with rag with a bit of alcohol on it....

No a perfect example, but i had lost some of the lettering depth on the cage through sanding out damage!
