thanks, my humiliation is complete :cry: :cry: i can't blame john though as being the other spelling it probably wouldn't occur to him.

Jon is short for Jonathon while John is just John, that's how it used to be anyway.

And for some extra nerdy info (Wikipedia):
John is a variation of the Hebrew name Yôḥānnān[4], whereas Jonathan derives from the Hebrew יוֹנָתָן Yônāṯān[5], which means "Gift from the Lord" and thus is a longer version of Nathan.

Yeah, I've corrected that typo.

Obviously being called John I get it the other way round sometimes. But I find it doesn't really bother me.

Anyhow name aside think you get a good write up Jon.


As for why Lou didn't feature? Two words I reckon. Ron Hill. The MBR readership weren't ready for those bad boys.
