As much as I'm a GT guy these days, I voted for a Diamondback

So hard to choose, but the vote went with the one I would like to ride

Ditto; nail struck right on head ;)

Wow thats a lot of ti.

Some fantastic builds...and some pathetic ones too.

Exactly! The Funk and the Lemond really stand out to me. The parts on the Lemond and great but the frame on the Funk is so rare! So the frame always out ways parts in my mind so the funk gets my vote!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

We cant all afford Cook Brothers Racing, XTR, Ringle etc etc; but so long as our bikes put a smile on our face when we open the shed door, thats all that matters.

And this is the place to show off what makes us happy.

There is no such thing as a pathetic build.

I agree. I'd also throw the Merlin in the mix, but i'm sick of seeing merlins. Living in the Boston area i see so many REAL (non of the Litespeed crap) and Sevens (They are the same bikes w/ Diffeent stickers, I have one, and am trying to sell it, and i sold the 2nd most in the country last year) Merlins that i'm sick of them.

Christ this is tough.

Love the Fat Ti's, the Ibis, Hei Hei and the DBR's, the Merlin just looks so clean, but I think the Funk just takes it for me.

I'm not sure if i Agree w/ this. If the entire bike is not retro why is it in BOTM?

Honestly I dont like e-stays....Funk ti wins!

Well BOTM always provokes some healthy debate! At this early stage there appear to be three front runners, which I should add are all incredible builds, but its also good to see a spread of votes and lots of members appreciating the efforts or tastes of their peers too.

All of the entries were built with a purpose in mind - daily rider, weekend racer, fair weather pony or garage queen but one thing for sure they all deserve respect. And yet again the oldest debate on retrobike, "what really defines retro?"
