Macretro fat camp

Re:

I'm up to 8.5kg (13st) from my usual 79.3kg (12st7lb) and I'm noticeably softer and flabbier. The kids have been laughing at my jellybelly. Too much food and drink. Managed 42 road miles today but need to get a grip !

Re:

Weighed in this morning....13st13lbs or 88.5kg. I was around 13st 9 just before xmas so that's my end of January target. Hopefully easy enough  . Cutting out sugar again and takeaways, trying to avoid processed food but won't strictly enforce this. I'm generally off the booze anyway though I can see two occasions in Jan that I may partake in an ale or two.

90.3 kg. That whole 'Zwift for the month of December' really didn't go as planned

Should hopefully be back in the saddle over the next couple of days, chest is beginning to clear up now. Onwards and downwards...

Clockworkgazz- I'm 89 kg and at 5 11 that's a bmi of 27.50 which equates to being in the fat c@nt range. Goal to lose 1 stone.

Kaiser- Height 1.78m/5'10
Weight 87.6kg/193lbs
BMI 27.7.
Target fro January is to hit 85.xxkg(this can be 85.9999) by running 3 times a week and get biking to work again. No diets aim to eat a bit healthier(and less).

zigzag- Height: 6'1"
Weight: 89.1kg/196.4 Lbs
BMI: 25.9 (Ooooh, lardy)

BigEck- well i'm bang on 18 stone so i'm beating you all (thats a stone and a half ave lost)

Tazio- Currently 69Kg. True I'm a lightweight compared to the fatties round about but I should be 66.5Kg.

The Ken- 5ft 7 inches/171cm Tall
12 stone 10lbs/178lbs/81kg bmi 27.9 - I'm going to aim for 24 BMI as I reckon most of it is on my gut.
Wii Fit Age: 45 puts me just over a year older than I should be)

gmac123- 87Kg 182cm 26 bmi (in the fat bunt range)
want to achieve L'Eroica fitness this year, preferably the full 205Km
target 76 - 78Kg by Sept

MagD- 5-10 and a bit, 14 stone, not sure of BMI, but not good, (probably).

Dr S- We bought some scales after Christmas and after the holiday glutton fest I'd crept up to 13 and a half stone. For my height I need to be between eleven and twelve. My target is twelve but my main aim is to improve stamina.

Radoslaw- 85kg and 182 cm of height (5'11) I'm going back to chin ups and pull ups from now on. Would be great to get down to 80kg but main goal is to re-build my muscels as I feel bloody unfit. Stamina is ok-ish, should be fine on 10uTB.

Velo- Me 6'6", 196 lbs approx, BMI 22.6

Hawmaw- Height : 6'2"
Age : 46
Weight : 12st 12lb (180lb / 81.64kg)
BMI : 23.14
Wii Fit Age : 36
Then I dug out the Blood Pressure monitor..
123/66
Resting heart rate : 80

clubby- Height 175cm
Weight 91.5kg
BMI 29.88
Two points I'm aiming for is the end of Feb which is the annual snowboard trip to France and second is mid May, which is boy's weekend trip to Dalbeattie. My hope is below 90kg for snowboard trip and 85kg for Dalbeattie trip.

You know, the more I look back through this, the more I realise what a load of bollox all this weight watching is. When I look back to last year, some of my favourite rides were the short ones. 10 miles chasing ZZ and Keith round Comrie, and 12 miles of Macduro. Sure I may have burned more calories on a 50 mile road run, but would I have had as much fun, NO.

So for this year I've two goals.

1. Get away on a foreign riding trip somewhere new.
2. Make an effort to ride more with other people.

With the wedding, broken collar bone and dealing with mum's estate, I've been mostly riding alone and that needs to change. Riding in a group is more fun and pushes me more, both physically and technically. Even though I'm heavier now than my first fat club post, last week I set 4 pr's on a regular route because I was chasing a fitter friend. Got all that stuff behind me now, so time to move on.
If I lose weight great, if I don't, who cares as long as I'm having fun.
