Re:

My weight is all over the place, I'm getting on the scales at the same time each (well, every other) morning, so as long as the overall trend is downwards I'll be happy.
Got a stinking cold at the moment though, so no exercise for a few days

Give up your fancy jobs and stack shelves and deliver pizza's up and down stairs all shift. Lost me over a stone in weight in one month !!!

I now average about 82 Kilo if we'e being all metric about stuff which technically makes me underweight.....sickening isnt it

You don't want to weigh yourself more than once a week, for that very reason. Hydration levels varies day to day and can affect weight 0.5 either way.

Not weighing myself for a month but headed out on one of my usual road loops today. Didn't feel that great climbing out of village and never really improved much. Carrot hill is the big tester round here and I was a minute and a half slower than my best, that was over all three strava segments that cover it, ranging from 6.30 to 14.30 minutes. Knew I was in trouble as I had to change into lowest gear before crux corner. On the plus side I did hit a PR on a later segment but it was only the 3rd time I've ever set over it, and it is pretty flat/slight downhill. So todays lesson is must climb more.

Also, Sharron has signed up for 12 weeks slimming world block, so looks like I'm on diet teas for the next 3 months. Hopefully that will help.

Nobody brave enough to post? Well let me start.

92.5kg. January not a bad month considering the weather. 137 proper outdoor miles over 8 rides. Also been doing a HIIT workout at the gym once a week, plus some racquet sports. Would like to do more gym stuff but the high intensity classes only on during the day , so just doing the ones during the week if weather is no good. As predicted, very little change in weight despite following Sharron's Slimming World teas. Main problem at moment is keeping my blood sugars high enough after exercise. My insulin sensitivity is increasing so I've had to reduce my long acting dose by 10%, but reaching a steady level takes time and experimenting and until then I'm having to treat evening/night hypo's with huge amounts of sugar or have an extra evening snack just in case. 5am hypos just wipe me out for the whole of the following day.

On the plus side, it does mean I'm on the right track. Although my weight hasn't changed, it's a sign my body composition has, replacing a bit of fat with muscle. Extra muscle burns more calories, so I'm hoping when I get my insulin right then the weight loss will come.

Subjectively, exercise isn't getting any easier but the hiit classes have certainly been challenging me in new ways. Should pay off down the line with better core and upper body strength. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Right, I've confessed all so it's time for the rest of you to get the scores on the doors :)

clubby thats interesting stuff, could you drop me a note of the HIIT session you do? need to motivate myself.

l play squash twice a week, plus biking at least once so just need to focus a bit more and eat less crap. We ditched the scales as want to focus more on shape rather than weight.

shonas doing the moonwalk in June and between training for that plus her new found biking talents is toning up nicely lol

cheers.

Re:

13st 6.5lbs. So beat my January target albeit it was fairly easy. The good news for me is I'm running again. Hasn't been an easy start but grooving now, certainly running better than any other January for a long time. Downside is only biking the once with clubby, but it was a very good day.

February will be about getting back on the bike commuting, continue running and adding in some strength training. Shoulder injury has weakened me somewhat. Continuing the significant reduction in booze and sugar and going to try to prepare more food than we currently do. Ideally I'll get under 13st this month...... The trip to Berlin will not help though.
