Kaiser and jimi, unless you want a later start on Thursday( say 12.30) then I will have to bail out. Wife has a funeral first thing so could not leave killie before 11.30- sorry :evil:

Will check out the thread kaiser and go for it zigzag great frame and will be a cracker!

The stem I have zig zag is not worth the stripping, kind of fancy a silver syncros, to big?

If you can get there on your own steam Jimi and I could head down early then meet you for a spot of lunch, head back out for a few hours? Summat like that anyway.

anyone got any experiance on panaracer darts, got the clockwork one for the front and a smoke for the rear. BITD i rode a smoke front and rear and all was good. The dart upfront corners really well on the mucky stuff but if I hit a root it feels very skitish! Is this a comman problem given the forward facing tread or is it maybe a side effect of the riser/forks making the bike lighter at the front or indeed a devilish combo of the too. BTW the bike was great to ride really loving it. Will post an ugly picture later.

Thats what you need, a basic mud racer that your not going to be precious about. In short something like most of my fleet

Next job, practice running mounts/dismounts, very difficult and painful in the tackle dept. when you get it wrong :?

What gear ratio you running ?

This is going to be tough but potentially less technical than a mtb race

I have three sets of cantis an older shiney shiney pair of LX, a black pair of low profile XT, and indeed a pair of blue ano empella frogs legs that I had earmarked for summat else.

Black tape has been decided upon too, when perchance are you goin back to your treasure trove?


Gear ratio is???? canny remember but it is quite high, its the same set up I had for SSUK, biopace on the front and IIRC summat like 38/17...mibee? I'll keep it as is because as you say it'll be less technical.

bet its no as ugly as mine though if your in the pic it could beat it
