Climbs like a mountain goat and it was kind of nice having gears for once :roll:

Kaiser, I can hit the bike station on wednesday evening and on Saturday.

What you after, remember no guarantees of anything but old school mass produced stuff is often available.

Got some Gran-Compe centre pull brakes for the BSA last time, they're top of the Dia-Compe tree from yesteryear :D

Think I'm after a stem for the Ku, the kinda high rise forged type if you know what I mean, more roadie looking. Oh and 1 1/8" and black straight forks would be nice. But I'll maybe post looking for a pair of Kona P2's

I believe that may have something to do with the rider :LOL: Wide bars really suit it though, stem looks alright too.

Also it looks like I'm now the proud owner of an 88 Rockhopper :cool:. I suppose the good news is it's already a frankenbike with all that kit off a later Hardrock, so there isn't much in the way of damage I can do to it :LOL: I'll either pick it up on Sunday after the Pentlands run or early next week.

Velo, if you happen to find yourself down at the bike station this week (only if mind), can you keep an eye out for a Suntour XC-(E, Comp, Pro, whatever) rear mech? Doesn't have to be brilliant nick, all I need it for is the cable clamp bolt, although if it's better than the XCE that's on it then that'd be a bonus.

Straight-ish forks would be wicked.
Straight=insane :shock:

On another note, something went crunch around the BB on my Mission today.Clicking, and crunching and creaking and clicking and...
You get the idea. Gotta strip it tomorrow and make sure it makes the Pentlands on Sunday.

ZigZag, I'm not sourcing a Suntour mech just for you to strip out one bolt, thats just wrong :shock:
Bodge a bolt or something, suntour rocks :cool:

Kaiser, as regards stem, are we talking roadie quill stem with 26mm clamp or 25.4mm. Also although straightbladed fork unlikely what steerer length and threaded or unthreaded.

Bet you'se guys that nowt on your shopping lists is available anyway :roll:

Cheers buddy, actually I'm gonna hold out for some double butted P2's, I have decided.

Re: Orange, apart from the stem its lookin good :) and if its working........don't believe you on the gears thang though, did you fall off?
