MacRetro chat and rides thread

cheers ken think you are right about the risers, might try throwing the saddle a wee bit more to the front and go with the risers.

great set of wheels Dr S love the wheels and the carbon forks mind you I did think it was pretty funky in it's modern geared clobber- good job and I like the saddle as is, why the flat pedals is that work bike mode?

I tried SPDs in 1990 and I'm not keen to repeat the experiment. Those flats are great, very grippy (ripped my Converse to bits in just a few days) and have magnesium bodies and Ti spindles and weigh bugger all.

Has all this road bike nonsense not blown over yet?? What's next? Cruiser BMX?

the floaty front will be the slight trade off for better downhill ability. Risers will help too. Do you have any? I've a set sitting but they need a shim.

I have a set of x-lite xc's that will be just the ticket but cheers Kaiser :) , did think about the flex stem for the stumpie but really enjoying the direct feel, it climbs like a ******* mountain goat to 8)

when will the salsa get unveiled?

 on the back burner again, all I need is a hope calliper and to get the forks repaired. next month....maybe
