what annoys me the most in all that is that if some people in france were not so stupid they would have used Lance image to promote tourism in america and the Alps and Pyrenees would be full of american cyclists spending all their dollars in french hotels , restaurants etc...

Chris, you sure you are French? Seem way to sensible to me
Personally, if Lance enters next years tdf, it could make it potentially very interesting to watch. People say he was too dull and unexciting to watch, but compared to Evans he was a showman.
Other side of me thinks that he has little to win and a lot to lose. Without a team built around him, and a lot of people wanting to prove they beat Lance, think it will be tough to win again.
