it's postage... AND PACKING!!!

I've no idea what the OP charges for posting and PACKAGING but I never ship anything. Most of the stuff I sell isn't worth a great deal and I'd rather sell for less than it's 'worth' than throw it out to a worldwide audience, and deal with packaging something up and taking it to a post office for a quote in order to give the quote to a potential buyer, or just guess and maybe rip the buyer off (or myself....). Going to the Post Office can potentially be an hour long round trip depending on the line up, and I can't be doing with Paypal. On the flipside, if something small costs $15.00, and the buyer wants $15.00 postage inc PP fees because they won't just take a Bank Transfer then they can fornicate over yonder too :D Hence I only deal locally.

Well I've sold my Shimano gear levers for just £10 and just £2 to post! The levers have been sent in a new bubble bag
and sent the whole lot off for £2.34p! Am I bothered about the new bubble bag cost ? Am I bothered about the extra 34p ?

Am I fook as like :D There some Scrooges on here!

I recycle all my packaging too but I do agree with the OP, people moaning about postage costs can do one. eBay has the postage cost clearly marked, if you don't like it then don't bid, or adjust your bid accordingly to take account of what you see as high postage costs. I think it's so stupid that eBay let buyers rate a seller on the postage costs.

'Yagamuffin' ?

I do believe the OP is talking about stuff he has sold on RB and not ebay as he has never mentioned ebay at all on this thread :?

Fair enough but surely the same principle applies, assuming the postage cost is known before payment for the item.

I don't mind paying 50p to 90p extra on the postage/packing charge but when you pay £3.95p for an item to be
delivered by RM 1st class recorded and it arrives 2nd class normal post at a cost of £1.45p! Then this piss's me off.
