I had a Daewoo, frame now pinched by youngster. Seriously nice, very light, beautifully made (incredible welding). Very large diameter, thin walled tubing. Never seen another, and came up blank on a web search. Always wondered if it (or them) was built specially for something, except bits were average.
Anybody seen one?...........

I remember seeing them in the Scout Shop in Glasgow, @ 1997........had a bendy-curvy top tube........

I dunno but seeing that porsche one brings back memories I can remember seeing it in mbuk, its probably rubbish to ride but it still looks fantastic now. Weren't the lotus mountain bike range just rebranded british eagles, they looked exactly like my old British eagle Boss. Saying that I dont think the motor bike companies are much better I don't like Duccati's latest offering although that honda downhill bike they did Drooooool can't believe they all got sent to the crusher

see a 1997 article ;)

Porsche was very much build on VOTEC stuff
MB was a rebadged AMP
BMW ventured into neat folding bikes ( so you could easily put them in the boot) but dunno if they were good and they are very rare ( ridiculously priced when new)

I'd rather say that only Peugeot did serious stuff of its own through its dedicated subsidiary starting in 1882  ;) cocorico

most of the others only trying to surf on their make image :? ( apart maybe from BMW which did try but engeneering probably overdid it at the beginning. They did try again later - see 2008 page but it seems that it has been stopped again !
