Is there a car manufacturer that has made a decent MTB?

Peugeot was one of the not so many car manufacturers that was seriously involved in designing and producing bicycles. They carried the TeamLine range with for example 'Nivacrom' steel, titanium, carbon and aluminum bikes.

Another Mercedes Benz. A Parkpre Pro-Elite in disguise, havn't seen any pictures of the complete bike though.

I had a Daewoo, frame now pinched by youngster. Seriously nice, very light, beautifully made (incredible welding). Very large diameter, thin walled tubing. Never seen another, and came up blank on a web search. Always wondered if it (or them) was built specially for something, except bits were average.
Anybody seen one?
Anyway was an Ebay cheapie, and got me back into mountain biking, after a 30 year break. (Last off road bike was a home built clunker in the 70's)
