We just did the basic version of standing on a coke can and wedging it in the brake / seat stays😊
I used to cut a piece plastic from a drinks bottle and attached to my bike with a clothes' peg, I though it was the best bit of the bike in the late 70's!

Only found on recreational, cheapish-but-functional bikes from many brands, and especially on the "ladies' " market models🤔

I never even understood how they were meant to help🙄

To stop lawsuits from riders going over the bars from yanking on the front brake at the first junction they come to.
Could have just fitted canti’s instead. 🤣🤣🤣

It's the 3 finger version BL-T611 that Shimano state needs this modulator stuff.

No mention the modulator is needed with the BL-T610 2 finger version.

So it's all cleared up now and makes perfect sense for everyone that if you brake with three fingers you can't be trusted.
