I had an aluminum Szazbo. Pedalled exceedingly well. Was aware of the ti-bows, of course, but have never seen a ti Szazbo. Rare might be an understatement.

Mine had those and the rough old over-long bolts on the shock, too.
Swapped them out quickly enough.
They do, but the leverage ratio is about 4:1, so even at full travel the BB-Saddle distance reduces by just over an inch.
The pivot location and URT give that facility to change the suspension character as you ride by sitting or standing, and by shifting your centre of gravity forward and back relative to the pivot position.
It takes some getting used to, but XC performance is excellent.
Yeah i have to agree about the nut/bolt! I'm hoping he rebuilds it.
I've had a couple of chaps get in touch about value, i have no idea, it's one of those 'it's worth as much as someones willing to pay' jobs, the chap said he paid over £3k for it new, any ideas on todays price?
