I appreciate that in some countries people have to walk miles for clean water; but, errrrrr.... I live in the UK and I can't hose down me bikes :shock:

Maybe I'll just piss on them instead!! Is that what they want? Coz that's what's going to happen.

....well as I'm particular about getting them ultra sparkly n' clean I reckon I'll need to drink at least a few gallons. I also have to make sure I drink enough to really ensure the piss is diluted.

In fact I reckon I may have to drink more than what I would've used hosing the bikes' down in the first place.

Ironic isn't it? since the introduction of the ban this month it's rained every day to some extent or another :roll:

Oh and you can still use a hose pipe during a hosepipe ban. The wording is something like "you can't have a free flowing hose" or some-such.

That means, that as long s you have a nozzle on the end that is an on-off type you are fine. One like this...

Won't stop the nosey neighbough calling the council when they see you though

Here is the Anglian water definition. It has changed a little since I last read it but the way it's defined the "use of a hosepipe" (at the very bottom of the document) it could be interpreted that washing your bike with the hose is fine.

Probably best to do it round in the back garden though
