Freezing cold, dark and foggy today. Importantly though, it wasn't pissing it down with rain. That means time to get on the bike!
Had a little more time than usual so I managed about 35 miles down towards Cheddar and back, mostly on the strawberry line. Nice route, although it could have done with a big hill somewhere to spice things up a bit - will plan a better circuit for next time
Managed to get a good shot for the pylon enthusiasts

Same view as yesterday's post but significantly colder and grayer.
Quick spin to test going from a 60mm 6deg stem to 100mm 8deg. May not have been obvious from earlier posts due to the saddle bag but I was definitely clamped down way beyond the stop marks on the saddle rails and figured it was about time I sorted it. Was about 30mm ahead of the stop mark so figured 100mm stem would give enough wiggle room. Overall very pleased, feels like I spent more time than normal seated instead of standing, may need some more tuning preferably with a 2 bolt seat post but we'll see how I feel after a longer distance tomorrow

Love the former railway cycle tracks and a good tunnel! Did a trail between Northampton and Market Harborough the other week which had a couple of decent length unlit tunnels.Freezing cold, dark and foggy today. Was going to offer a prize for guess that castle but to be honest it’s so obscure and out of the way even many locals don’t realise it’s there. It’s tiny.

Coincidentally I caught a castle (or the ruins of) in the background of a picture today, think it's called Tynemouth Priory. Very lucky my birthday aligned with a free day, and that day happened to be very mild albeit a little misty which lead to a lovely 100k ride of mostly northern coastline.
