Fife and Tayside rides thread

Re:

Could do Tentsmuir and give you a chance to get some salty spray on your fat one.

Re:

would be up for that mate. As long as us fatties irna gonna scare off our resident fat hater Rob?

another loop i saw on STW was a variation on the lomond hillls loop - text below

A loop from Lochore Meadows over Benarty Hill, up over the Bishop Hill, down the Glenvale descent and a spin back around the Loch Leven and Portmoak forest trails.

We could do a double ascent of the Bishop some day, one to descend Glenvale, then we could nip back on the road/bike path to the Pillars of Hercules for coffee and cake then up over Maspie Den around the reservoirs back up the farm track to the golf ball for the descent back down to Scotlandwell. That might add a couple more hours. Each half of that is easily doable as an evening ride.

we could organise that for a nice sunday soon as well. Need to get back up the lomonds and do both Bishop, west and east and falkland during the summer also.

Re:

Robs been groping random strangers in Dundee on Sunday mornings of late.
Can sort a route to suit all.
Meet at Leuchars train station park and ride, and take it from there.

Re:

Wot time you thinking clubby, hopefully get a decent couple of hours ride in? Never been to tenstmuir.

Sorry V, Def catch your next meet up ride. I've joined the site as well now how often do you have them and do yer think there would be much interest in showing them Blairadam etc or is it just Edinburgh side ?

Re:

How about 10.15 - 10.30 at Leuchars? Plenty of singletrack and a cracking beach if the tides right. No huge hills but a good workout none the less.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

As I've just said to Rob, Meetups a social networking site with numerous interest groups all through the UK tied together by one site. You can find a group that interests you wherever it is and show up at an event you've RSVP'd your attendance at. You can hold a mtb anywhere you want and advertise it on any relevant group pages your a member of. Its best just to stick to one group though as coordinating all the people who might show up could be an organisational nightmare. If you volunteer to organise an event you can include a variety of factors such as numbers in the group, experience required etc.
If folk want to join the ride they RSPV there planned attendance and the places available count down untill the ride is full. Chances are less folk will show up on the day. There is lots of flexibility.
If you dont want to actually organise a run you can put it in the discussion section and someone else might pick up the baton...........such as me !

Re:

sounds like a plan Clubby, see you then.

Cheers V, looks a good option for bigger group riding and doing some edinburgh trails.
