Fife and Tayside rides thread

Re:

Great ride today in glorious weather.
Keith did well despite carrying around more weight than he's used to  (the fat bike, not his arse) Still lacking a bit of confidence and stamina but doing very well considering the amount of time he was off injured. One more rider converted to the joys of Tentsmuir, even found yet another new trail.
Definitely think it's a good candidate for the summer BBQ ride.

Re:

Yep that was a cracking day out, just what I needed. Absolutely shattered tonight, 2hours sleep in couch and dehydrated lol but was worth it.

Really enjoyed the beach ride and some of the single track was perfect with really good flow.

Thanks for the fat riding tips as well, the push down tip really helped.

Felt the confidence coming back after the first few steep sections.

The stamina has gone lol but a good challenge for the summer.

How did your ride go Velo, looks like you got a good crowd ?

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

Good run, glowing reports, but folk still moaning about nettles despite me warning them beforehand

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

lol do they not know we get nettles in scotland.!

will keep an eye out for your next adventure.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

There is a meetup mtb run this Sunday that might interest folk nearish to Edinburgh though you need to join the Meetup, Edinburgh MTB Group, its free.
http://www.meetup.com/mountainbikes-161 ... 184580242/
Its to one of the old school classic venues of Edinburghs mtb past. BITD I never made it, my stomping ground being the southside, Water of Leith path and Pentlands. Thus I'm going to see what I missed all those years back, its meant to be pretty good.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

had a wee trundle round Deans on saturday. think i have finally worked out a decent loop which provides a good run on this. trails were riding braw.

Gonna head up there this Sunday if anybody fancies it. We can also tag on a cake stop and a blast round the glen if enough folk fancy it.

deans is definitely fatbike friendly (im taking mine) and singlespeed would be another good option. if we do the full loop plus glen its a decent 2-3 hour run. leave ma hoose around 10.30am.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

Wimbledon final, mens. Watching that in pub with girlfriend and others so have to miss out on what'll probably be a good run Keith. Enjoy yourself !

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

Might be able to make Sunday Keith, shall check with the boss...

Any interest in Blairadam, this Friday night? 7.30pm start for clubby getting down from work (could also do earlier and get a fly lap in before he arrives).

Re:

might be in Sheffield of all places Friday but should know next day or so.

sounds good though, will be there hopefully.

Re:

Might be up for Blairadam on Friday, not been in there for couple of weeks. Haven't been back because it was a real mess in places on the trails I did.
7.30pm is fine, gies me a chance tae get ma tea doon ma neck.
