Hang on guys, i think this post is going a little the wrong way. We have all had some bad trades, no question but after losing a valued member should we not pull together and give him a nice goodbye from all of us and then try and make sure that we are friendlyer than ever. It would be such a shame to let the negative in this post affect peoples perceptions of this site, particularly the newer members.

Since i joined i have been made to feel so welcome and have gained much knowledge and made some great aquaintences on here. Christ i could go for a beer with most members here and not be stuck for something nice to say.

Now lets all have a group hug and wish Harry a fond fairwell and have some well needed tranquility around here. Now, whos for a group hug?

Dont know why you have gone Carl but in my experience you have always been a pleasure to deal with, both honest and reliable. I'm sure you will be back and at least you know who you can or cannot deal with.

I've had wheels described as very good condition turn up with cracked worn through rims and half the bearings missing, shifters that don't shift and a bike that had completely different and lower spec to the one advertised :? these were all from long standing users on here who would be the first to complain if we did the same to them :evil:

this is scary. One of the reasons I only buy/sell from close-knit sites like this is that I feel I can trust everyone, it being a small world. Wouldnt touch the site with thaarsands of members.

Maybe I should just stick to face-to-face deals or buy new??

Don't be put off buying off here I've bought literally hundreds of things from members on here and only been let down three times which just shows how trustworthy 99% of people on here are
