Early winter weather warnings

is panic buying before christmas shopping as that starts soon too

reading that irish weather bit just re-inforces the fact that scientists seem to know nowt about the climate , i thought it was all my fault due to
my love of 2t engines ,turns out its not me after all

Looks like I might have an excuse to get snow tyres for the fixie :D

Is it wrong that I want a lot of snow just to annoy the bloke at work who has just ordered a 2wd range rover evoque?

I am sure The Express says the same thing every year!

Pretty much what I thought - best taken with a pinch of salt. Gives them something else to write about apart from the EU, immigrants, cancer, superfoods, house prices or Diana conspiracy theories though....

I did look at getting Nokian ones for the MTB as a 'just in case'. Sixty squid a wheel, mind you (plus they weigh a ton, but with all those little metal studs you sort of expect it).

This year I will be doing my panic buying before the panic buying starts

Should I start panic buying now then, in preperation for your pre-panic buying, panic buying. :?

No "panic buying" needed here, I've already got 2 Smiths compilations on CD with that particular track on.

I'll get me coat.

Couple of years ago I thought I would be clever when I had to pick up some things from a pal who warned me she her track was totally snowdrift covered.

I called up and asked VW to have a Tiguan 4WD ready for me to go and 'test in the snow'.

I went right down her hill over the masses of drift and parked it right next to her garage.

"No problem, it is 4wd".

Turned out the plonker at the garage had given me a 2WD model.

I was ten minutes digging through the manual before I realised.

I cannot understand anyone who would choose a Range Rover in 2WD.
