A much lovelier feeling than the cover of the 1925 Triumph catalogue. I am trying to imagine them having a nice conversation, but not succeeding.

Indeed. Early roll film bellows cameras had the viewer in two modes for horizontal and vertical and neither at eye level. but waist level.
