And today I did......

Re:

Aren't the frames the same size though? And its just the wagon wheels that are different?. I'm tempted to try 29" for it's apparent benefits xc, but it'd mean new wheels, and then what would I do with my stash of 26" tyres???

Anyway, 26" is enough for me, the missus agrees too.. .

I cant believe that, so what happens to the stand over hight and the B/B hight? I would have thought that say the B/B would stay the same hight (approx) and that both ends would have been played around with to compensate the bigger diameter wheels.

Swapped out the medium spring (on the right) on my Manitou Towers for a Firm (the one on the left before I greased it up). Hopefully will be a little bit um, well firmer now :) Losing a few pounds should help as well.

All pretty straightforward, especially following the excellent video on Youtube. Internals and seals all look pretty good too.

These going on the full sus ZZ?

This morning I was out ice-breaking and bog-trotting, but at least it was a ride. First of the year as well, terrible.

I've been building today, the new HS Press has had a baptism of fire
After I got my shopping basket then walked round the house picking the parts I needed
afterwords I must have thrown out about 50 padded envelopes and that's just the tip of
the iceberg, I know I have a problem/habit :?
The amount of goodies I have that I'd forgotten about, can you believe that?

And today I got a fork crown setting tool (1" - 1&1/8") to go with the above. :)

clubby - aye, going on the Rockstah! Currently on the Swift - will see if they're firmer at the weekend.

Rob - Take it your appointment was cancelled again?
