And today I did......

glittery fleck = BIG ECK

think it'll look fine with you on it dressed in white lycra rumble

Hey mikee - I've not earned my rainbow stripes just yet (oo-eer  ), so the white lycra will have to wait!

These are Specialized Fact forks, that's the other thing I forgot to mention - I think the massive specialized logos on each leg are under the laquer so they'll be staying on. Just as well I'm all function over form on the roadie.

Went into my favourite LBS today, first time since november, he's laid of the staff, isn't selling new bikes other than pre-orders and is living off the repair work and a ski servicing sideline that he did previously.

Before xmas he said almost every customer in the shop was coming in to size a bike before buying online. He reckons the standard shop set up won't last much longer in the industry. :( I could see this coming but it is a real shame.

He's looking to concentrate on commuter bikes come the spring as they have remained successful. Hope things pick up again soon for him, normally a great shop to visit with a good chatty vibe when they had time.

Just in from Big Country at the Alhambra in Dunfermline. Better than I thought it was going to be, although the 2 songs I was looking forward to (Angle Park and Close Action) were disappointing. Several I'm 15 again moments, and wife has 'concert hair'. A good night.

My mate and his wife were going to this tonight as well. Wish I'd tried to get tickets. Last time I saw Big Country was in the Albert Hall ? in Stirling years ago. Stuart Adamson had his daughter with them and she sang a couple of songs.

I think Sandra and some of the family were there tonight OCP. Wish I'd seen them in the Albert Hall, great place for a gig. Hadn't seen them since the Steeltown tour. Did start pretty ropey, some 'interesting' song choices and at one point I was wondering if we'd be walking out - Mike Peters didn't get out of his own way until they played 'Restless Natives'. All came together after that.

I think I'd find it hard to listen to them when all I'd be wanting was to hear Stuart Adamson's voice. Same with Runrig, they don't sound the same without Donnie Munro.
