Isn't nature fantastic.

Woke up this morning[well 11am] and realised that i'd got the finishing time on an auction completely wrong.Finished at 9am not the 9pm i thought.

A mis-listed Marmot 8000m parka,used once, original price £450
Sold for £122

Bugger

Went for a wee ride. Long johns, trousers, waterproof trousers, fleece, North Face 3-1 jacket, big warm hat and gloves.

I managed about an hour and had to come home as I was too bloody hot!

Went to local homebase on my skinny tyred fixie, fun but very precarious.
Never touched the brakes, front wheel kept choosing its own line in snow and ice. As back end let go you slackened off power until grip reaquired then powered up again, proper traction control

Claud Butler taking shape, keeping ultrapink paintjob as my upstairs neighbour remarked it'd be a crime to remove it. Thus another bike as bad on the eyes as the White Lightnin'

Given up weight weenie task, needs too much effort and cash with the materials I have. Getting the CB off road ready is my only aim but that is at least doable :D

Sounds like a man of taste - the White Lightning is spot on in a coast-guardy way, and anything ultrapink is fine by me. Should look grand in the snow.

Bid on a cheapy A-stars AST 140 purely for the Brooks B-17, but (probably) luckily for me didn't get it. Went for £26-odd in the end.

I have a very old b17 seat that I swapped TK and now have no use for it- you fancy a swap for summit shiny? can't find a picture just at the mo....
