They are, I'm really impressed how well the set up works.
Regarding the Mike bars, They seem quite wide, will you cut them down a bit?

They are 660mm from memory and I'm fairly broad they seem to be a good fit for me. That said you never know until you ride them.

I'm messing with this earlier version; a "one down".
Pretty similar, no disk tabs, but originally a 26" drop bar bike (i think?). This one is a bit on the small side for me, hence the verrrry loooonnng stem (140mm) and riser bars. Currently trying all sorts of different bars to make it comfy for touring and general duties.
I like a dawes.

We sold a few new - very functional expedition machine, before surly cornered the market.
Nicer than most.
This is the perfect application.

BWS, you suggested I try and find one of these Saudukars in a thread I'd posted for a Thorn Sherpa (or Nomad?). Did this Dawes ever make it over the pond to Canada?
