And today I did......

kinda hard to say on size chief
17.5" i'd say

was looking at MRLEE's one at bdw nice looking bike

so what you gonna do with it ?

No nice new frames for me :( though I'm checking out exotic steel (i.e. 853/753/653/631) tourer/audax ones having regained a taste for such things at the weekend. My flimsy road bike frame tended to flex in a manner alarming for a material with the crappy fatigue properties of aluminium when standing on the pedals and carrying panniers.

I did buy a Flexstem for the C2C however, and am painting the 'vertical' bit black for improved aesthetics.

Wind dropped tonight so I scampered out for a quick 17.5 miles, before it started getting dark at HALF SEVEN! Bah.

Have finished the GT's pinstriping, the decals aren't perfect - hopefuly a good laquer will polish over the blemishes.

Apologies for the poor photos; phone camera. Hope I don't offend the purists...

Not sure bud, I have a worrying amount of 3DV which was my initial thought. Unfortunately I don't like blue ano, so the dropouts may get dipped and new decals made. I've always fancied a crazy fork with an estay, especially a Lawwill or an Amp though a Mani 1 would look good to. I have a pepperoni lying about too I've enough rigid bikes. Could go hardcore with syncros and atac and maybe some Suntour, though the temptation for a british build is strong.Ultimately I'd like it to be period where practical and look good.

I'm casting an eye over such bikes too though more on the mountain side.

I kinda like that gin and tonic , be interesting to see it finished .

Today I've been giving a lot of thought to the amount of stuff I've gathered over the past few years and should I have a purge :? it's stuff I kinda want ( why I bought it in the first place I guess ) but it's weighing heavy on my mind owning a load of bulk . When I only owned enough stuff to fit into 2 escorts it was a great liberating experience . Why must I want everything :x

I don't really need the money ( always welcome though ) and it doesn't take much space but you know ...

got a very tatty but quite cool, monodo? stem and oversized bars you could have JB for nowt if you want, great cable guide thru the stem but would need stripped and painted.

nice GT if that is not a contradiction in terms

and getting a nice wee 853 frame in the not so distant future too :D

Love the decal work tam - are they hand painted? Nice to see something a bit unusual.
