A lot of car buyers are a little bizarre to say the least. I was selling an old Mercedes W124 260E for £750 with 250,000 on the clock and in lovely nick. As anyone who is into their Mercs knows that is the equivalent of nicely run in on other cars. I had a fruitloop assure me would buy it sight unseen but I insisted he came and had a look as other people had shown interest.

He then turned up, claimed I was a lunatic trying to sell a car with that kind of milage and offered me £250 as a "favour"

I've never seen someone so offended as he was when I laughed in his face.

Today one of the guys used the torque wrench as a breaker bar to try and remove a bottom bracket :x I'll never use it again .

Fixed the longer stem and shimmed the bars on the fat, small bit of fettling and I might take her for a bimble mibee.
