And today I did......

Tell the truth Aaron. You only bought that 'cause of the Iron Maiden font on the top tube logo!

Ritchey looks sweet too G. Better with rigids though! ;)

Yes, why did manufacturers ever got rid of gaiters?

Because early seals were sh!te and all the gaiters did was trap water on top of them. People tended to think they were fine and then when you finally moved the gaiter to clean then it was too late.
Modern seals are way more effective, plus your more likely the wipe away muck as you can actually see it.

Re:

G that p29er I'd lovely as well.

Was looking at one for a whole but trying to find the 1 1/8TH fork was the big drawback.

The next year's model had the tapered fork but was nowhere as nice lookjng

Re:

I like that Tit-us ZZ, have been looking at those & the Codeine framesets for later this year when I fully expect my current full sus frame to give up the Ghost (see what I did there? ;) ).

And that P29'er is bike porn, was it the one for sale on here? I was tempted but cheaped out and went for an On-One Inbred instead

Ah, love the red/white and blue P29, glad that worked out for you g!

Now I just need to find another potential buyer for the Swift ;)

Thanks chaps, the frame's already out of date compared to the current spec but it's a classic look (despite he rangers thing)

What's the build plan ZZ ? Are you thinking 1 x11 ?

Jim it was, local lad Haggis, actually met him years back on a macretro june GT run. He did me a good deal on frame, forks, h/s, bars and brakes... Family fortunes will now haul progress to a sails pace.

Rob, loving the designers head :) is that what keeps you on small wheels ? :)

Both frames look brilliant guys. Clearly plans have been afoot for a while but kept under the hats by the look of it.
Both should build up great, I do like the look of the Ritcheys, and have had a look at the 650b model they have.
Kaiser, don't be too harsh on the old schoolers who run 26'' and rigid ;)
We might be far slower but we still have feelings   Not everybody can touch the ground on a 29'er
I think we need to start a macretro build thread, maybe even a 'new' build thread.
If nothing other than to get Velo more involved ;)
