And today I did......

How practical are you Boxxer ? as there are lots of shed plans on free download.
Saw, hammer ,some nails ?
A wall at a time a a couple of friends the hold them up and even done in the evening would only take you a couple of days to complete the main structure.

Re:

There is a kit that basically consists of various metal brackets and screws/bolts etc. The brackets provide the fixing points at all the points the timber joins to build a shed. You provide the timber in the recommended sizes but in the lengths you want to vary the size of the shed. It makes building a shed into a giant mechano kit but takes out some of difficulty.

And on the 5th day of the shed reorganisation I discovered a brand new set of Big Apple tyres.

I was just about to order a pair for my 1x1, so that's a score. :)

Re:

With great efficiency (for me) and one week early, I took my trusty 48 year old Landrover for its MOT and lost 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears* approx 3 miles from the specialist MOT workshoppe in Edzell. Got there with low ratio 4th as only method of initiating propulsion, with a quick dip into high ratio 4th until the mini roundabout. Advised the very excellente Sam, who runs the place, it might need more than simple MOT inspection.

Bugger.

(* - oh and reverse)

Rode home on trusty Saracen Andes of approx 1990 vintage :D

Re:

Just typical, I've lost count of the number of times I've had things like bulbs blowing en route to an MOT test. On the positive side, as far as I can recall I don't think you actually need all the gears to be operative to pass the MOT do you? :)
