Advice on approaching dogs while cycling anyone?

My approach when faced with a possibly dangerous dog in my path is to aim the front wheel at the dog's torso - I'd rather go over an aggressive dog and cause it some damage then go around it and be leaped upon by a dog in full health...

So far the dog always blinked first.
Any long absences on my part in future may suggest it hasnt worked and I'm in hospital.

In an ideal world I'd have a sword on my bike and kebab the thing. Its always f***ing staffys and similar things. They should all be destroyed.
Sadly, they are being destroyed....

My advice, do your best to avoid a saint bernard! I hit one doing about 60kmph coming off a DH track and went straight over my handlebars, dog wasn't even hurt!

One of the tracks that I frequent the walking tracks cross over the MTB tracks. Lots of dogs get taken out there. One day an asian family was walking through there with their dog, it started chasing me. So I decided to call it and slow down to allow it to chase me! It followed me for a few k's  Asian family doing their best to try and keep up! i waited till they were well out of the picture before I took off and left the dog behind. Hopefully this will teach them a lesson!
