hey guys,
decided to sell my Kona Big Honzo, frame only, well with BB and rear axle.
there's a story, obvs as you know i have a shop, and kona has a demo fleet, i got it because it had a small hairline crack in it just behind the seat tube on the wish bone part of the seat stays. the story i got was that a gazebo got blown over in to it at a demo day, so i had to do a frame swap for them, but they owed me for a few other jobs i had done for them so they gave me the frame for me to get repaired. i was quite happy with this.
so i got the frame repaired by the Carbon Repair specialists in Leatherhead, that bill was £348 all in. the repair is where the black paint is, i should say that the black painted section exaggerates the repair, the hairline crack was maybe 12mm long, i have got a pic of the crack but i'll have to dig through old emails to find it.
any way, that's the story, it's a medium frame, i'm 5'9 and i'd say i am pretty much the limit of the size, it's a 31.6mm post size, internal dropper compatible, 148mm boost rear end, 27+ and 29er compatible and based around a 130mm fork.
rides lovely, really like it, only changing it for another Kona purely because i like the paint on the one i'm getting! sad but true!
