What year are you looking for exactkly? There was one with orange lugs but that was 1991.

early 1990s fluoro, 92 onwards more subdued. I was very tempted by one of these a few years ago when saw one going cheap near us when in Hampshire. Eventually chickened out over fears over the longevity of the material, or more I didn't know what I didn't know and didn't take a punt. My mistake given prices etc. As an aside is there a good thread about cabon fibre frames / forks and failure issues for the uninitiated.

This is a couple years old I see but I have a very nice 8700 I’d come off if interested it’s deep purple with the carbon very clean looking I had a 1995 trek 8700 zx carbon tubes/alu lugs black and red that was stolen years ago and I would love to source another decent condition one. Or a similar carbon trek 8700, probably more chance if I'm not so specific.
Classic frame, something about those carbon tubes. God I've missed that bike.
Anyway peeps, I know it's an exceedingly slim chance somebody wants to part with one,but you never know. Full bike or frame only. Larger frame the better. But open to all options at this point.
I found one on eBay while ago, seller was in Bradford and wouldn't post.Nightmare.
