I thought it was time for another update on progress:

I'm almost in a position to finish it off now, just waiting on a new o ring for the head doctor and I'm taking the rear wheel in to be built on Saturday.

The front end is pretty much finished now and I'm happy with the way it's turned out. There is a GT bar hanging off of a Syncros stem. M737 shifters & levers finished off with Panaracer Magic grips and NOS Onza bar ends.

I've gone for a Mag 21 fork which has had new decals from gil_m and a NOS 11/8" crown & steerer. Brakes are XT M737 with Kool Stop pads.

I've got a black Bologna Lite fork winging its way to me, so I'll have the option of running with suspension or rigid which will be cool.

Cranks are XT M737 and I have added some ano bolts and finishing touches which I think are reasonably subtle and suit the frame colour nicely.

Saddle is a modern job off ebay chosen for its retro style and the fact it matches the grips.

Can't wait to get the wheel built up so I can finish it off now.

Rear wheel should be built by Tuesday.

New o-ring for the Hope Head Doctor arrived yesterday.

Might have a finished bike by the end of the week.


Oh and if anyone wants a replacement o-ring for a head doctor, I have nine spares!

(Was still a lot cheaper than buying one from Hope though! :roll: )

Cast came off yesterday so with luck I'll be getting it muddy soon. As for weight; I have no idea. I really should get a spring balance and find out.
