I was convinced the Bologna Lites would be the way to go. Certainly the least hassle on a rider (and the lightest) but I'll try all the options and see which floats the old boat I reckon.

I had some gold bolts that I tried and they work really well against the frame (so I got some more!) , so I'm not sure about the Mag, it might look just the part. The one I have seems to be in good working order too, so that's cool (and at least it's not elastomer).

I guess an SL would look better as they're definitely gold rather than goldie brown.

But then there's the Pace option?????

Maybe photos with each option and we can have a mini poll?

Crank caps came from Racer X by the way. Got some turquoise Chill Pills from him too.

I was eyeing up the red one on the bay too. MUST resist!!!

I think we need to organise a mass Zaskar gathering. Would make for a pretty cool photo opportunity don't ya think?

It came with mag21 sl titanium forks,so were a nice shiny colour not the same as the standard 21's

And getting some now nos without the fork legs looking bang on no flaking or dulling will be like rocking horse poo,and pricey too boot!

Mag SLs are a pricy option if I find I don't like the way they ride.

At least I can try the Mags that I have and see how it goes. If it turns out that's the route I want to take then I can start looking for a pair of SLs.

I'd just need to find someone who has a pair to sell.

Or I could be sneaky and just repaint the lower legs on these. It's only the steerer tube and some bolts that are different after all. :?

Maybe we should see if we can organise something in the summer. Find a location reasonably central and sort out a gathering.


Maybe make it for all retro GTs rather than just Zaskars?
