I have a small 18" Stratos that is complete ( i think you commented on it?) and a 20" Stratos frame that is a keeper and next in line. I have a couple Blizzards that are too small for me as well. Sucks I can't ride them properly but I love them just the same
Both of them are around 92'ish. How do I check the sn's, RockiMtn? Do you recall which year they went to Dekerf? But I'll dig them out and have a look.
from my understanding, only possible DeKerf welded Blizzard were the 93 models. all the rest are Toyo welded in Japan (includes Cirrus/Experience). RMs that were homegrown were Altitude and up.
I found some Magura brakes. I've never tried them and looked on in envy way back in the early 90's when others were using them. This Cirrus wont be ridden much, so I thought "what the hell". I'm missing the brake boss bolts though
Can someone please remind me what the years were that these two Syncros stems came out? The hole and no-hole, history.
Bike is coming along fine. I found some old Rocky wheels a few weeks ago off of a steel Vertex with 7 speed xt..decals are sun-faded but they should clean up alright.

The 1994 blizzard was also done with Dekerf. There were a number of others like the 1992 steel vertex that were done here in Canada. I had this confirmed by the person who actually welded up my 1992 vertex at Rocky Mountain (he still works there)
From what I know the one with the separate top cap (as opposed to integrated slanted top cap surface) is the earlier generation version. There's a timeline on here somewhere... Forget where... RockiMtn will know
