1990 Fisher Paragon

I do like this colour - Ocean Blue / Green. It was in my size, little used, one owner ... and in the U.S, collection only. Bugger!

I emailed the seller and he was cool to drop it off at his local bike shop. I contact his local shop and they're happy to box it up and hand over to a courier if I arrange one.

This bike is currently in transit (by sea freight) and it will be interesting to see it’s true condition when it arrives. Tyres aside it looks to be all original. I recently found a pair of FatTrax (many thanks Matthias!) that were destined for another Fisher but I think this one takes priority.

Nice. I remember in the late 80s a friend either had one of those or a HooKooeeKoo (or however it's spelt). I recall his was DX with True Temper tubing (with a lovely 'ring' to it). Can't quite tell from the photos, but your looks like it's a got a Prestige sticker above the BB, and XT groupset ?

Looks nice.

Where did this sit in the Fisher line-up then?

Quite high up, it was classed as a free-climber rather than a race bike, but in that class only the Mt. Tam was more expensive. Top quality stuff! I have the yellow/grey version, well the frame and forks anyway!

The 1990 range was quite small (just 9 bikes) and no Mt Tam in the catalogue. The Supercaliber was definitely above the Paragon, not sure where the Paragon sat in relation to the CR-7 or the AL-1.

But I like it so not really bothered about the pecking order.

You're right, no Mt Tam. I must have been looking at the 1991 catalog!

Great to see some Fisher fans on here.

Re:

This arrived in Sydney recently, and was delivered yesterday. Here it is just out of the box.

It's a bit scruffy but it is 26 years old (as is most of the dirt, I suspect).

So ... a bit of cleaning to do over Christmas. :xmas-big-grin:
