Heine calls it the allroad bike, gravel is just a little less technical and more catchy. But from my memory the term gravel existed before bigger companies jumped on the train. I don't remember if Fairlight for example called the Faran a gravel bike or what they called it.

Most mountain bikes have never seen mountains, nobody ever cared if the name or term is correct or if it it should be called a hill, rock, mud or root bike. Road bikes are called racing bikes over here although 95% of them aren't used for racing. I don't get why some people are so exited about...

After 360 kilometers and 3000 metres in altitude I've arrived at Hyères. Most of todays stage was along the coastline and an abandoned railroad. Nice. Now I've three days left for going to the beach and other activities 😎

Went east today from Brignoles to Frejus. Annoying ride, mostly on busy roads, and was finally happy to reach my hotel alive. The best part was having "dinner" at the harbour 😉

Was heading south to Brignoles today. Nice varied ride on french country roads, not too much traffic, through some lovely villages. Some long climbs I didn't expect but all doable

Some kind of prologue today Avignon to Cavaillon. Mistral almost blowing you off the road. Even though it looks like the sun, it's the moon 😄

Interesting detail that he is routing the shifter cables to the top of the bars. I always thought it was a rule of thumb not to do so on pre aero bikes 🤷‍♂️
