What model is my Pace RC200

Frame no. should start F* (6/7/8). Looks like an F6 that's had an Fi disc mount added. F8's had triple butted top and down tubes and butted head tube and bottom bracket shell and seat stay disc mount and canti mounts. F7's had double butted top and down tubes, can't remember what the bb shell...

I test rode one in '95 borrowed from evolution imports, it was yellow with black decals and preproduction pace rc35 mxcd forks.

    Show us your Pace rc100,200,300

Re: I had an f5 from new, down tube decals were pace racing (pace in white & racing in red) fitted on the non milled part of the downtube right behind the head tube. Seat tube decals were the same style but I think they were smaller and fitted at the very top of the seat tube.

Strange problem with Hope Ti BB

Re: I don't have a bb out of a bike to look at it, but if the sleeve is 48mm, the raised section of the axle should be 48mm bearings are 7mm each which adds up to the 62mm total width you have so it should be ok. Are you fitting the bb assembled as per the picture of the red one? This is how...

Strange problem with Hope Ti BB

Re: Totally agree with Konsta, without the sleeve you will wreck the bearings. My spare sleeve measures 48.00mm. Bearing spacing / sleeve width is the same on my 68mm & 73mm hope bb's, the extra width for the 73mm version is 2.5mm additional width in each of the cups.

My Pace has arrived, but what to do.....

Re: I think all 1 inch head tubes have a pair of vertical ribs running the length of the tube that the top tube and downtube are welded to, 1 1/8 head tubes don't have this, they're just circular in cross section

    Pace frame ID help please.

Re: Could even be an F5 with F4 decals. It looks exactly the same as my early F5 (f518017) that one had the brake cable stops on the right hand side of the top tube, my later F5 had the brake cable on the left hand side of the top tube, the later (larger) brake mounts/posts & more seat stay...

    Undoing fused nipples

I've freed seized alloy nipples easily using the flame from one of those 'turbo' type lighters. Bit of heat directly o.n the nipple and they come undone

    Pace RC45 stem dmensions query

Ah, the mini is a 1972 1380cc replica Cooper S & was my toy before mountain biking came along in '94. I've owned it since 1984 & learnt to drive in it. Modified it from a harvest gold 998 in the 80's, stripped to bare metal & respayed in 91 & not had a great deal of use since 2004. Still taxed...

    Pace RC45 stem dmensions query

Steerer clamp height is 35mm. The only difference I noticed between the pictured stem (100mm) & my old 120 & 135mm versions is that there is more material in the clamp area immediatly behind the bars - comparemy pic with your google image & you'll see what I mean.
