Hope Ti-glide tech help needed

I've stripped a 1996? rear Hope Ti-glide hub after bearing failure and want to ask if there should be a thin spacer/thrust washer between the free hub and hub proper?

Bearing failure may have been due to excess play between the two and before I reassemble with new bearings I want to maximise the duration before the next replacement.

Re:

Cheers Barney, the diagram shows item 8 a 16mm space which mine doesn't require as my stepped spindle takes two different size bearings (10 & 12mm inside diameter respectively) so it's not a PDF of my model hub. However it does lead me to believe that there isn't a spacer/thrust washer as I thought between hub and free hub, just the lip seal as shown in the diagram you linked to.

Thanks for the link.

Re:

Is it the non Ti freehub body? And it's the inner bearing of the freehub body that is smaller?
But I think these are the ones before they changed to Ti 1994/5 ish.

Scratch that as you say internal...
6001 are the standard bearing with 12mm ID for the axle.
The different one I was/still am asking is this one with with 61901 but still 12mm ID

Any pictures and bearing codes?

Yup it's a ti glide! Double circlip on the free hub, the documentation I have found all came new with the hub and it's all Ti-Glide branded.

I was totally inaccurate with my bearing inside diameters sorry- my above post should read 12mm and 15mm.

The codes for the bearings as well as the diameters is as follows-

6001-2RS. 12mm ID, 28mm OD, 8mm W (x2)

6902-2RS. 15x 28x 7 (x2)

Not the same as yours Chicken, so it's not much help to you..
