I also found the difference in finish while sanding them down, the 950 arm had a really hard etch primer or similar under the top colour while the 951 had nothing under the top coat. I like the more slender shape of the 950 too, not sure why they would have changed it, cost cutting or...

I know this is old but just incase anybody was still wondering, the 951 is a slightly different shape, you can see it more beefy round the pedal hole. I know this as i just bought a 'pair' of 950s which turned out to be a 950 and a 951!! oh well thats ebay for ya! just stumbled across this...

Yeah should do really, the Kilauea is having a bit of a work done as its in a bit of a mess. I'll get some up when it looks good again, managed to bend the seatpost on a ride the other day so I'll have to sort that too. They're not many about in 27.0 at 400 long, wanted to keep retro but...

Nah, I had a hope ti, prety light, no problems there was a royce ti on the bay the other day, or for ultimate function, if you can find one you could get an xtr!

Sorted, popped to the lbs just to update. spring clip....yes standard thread on the lockring strange though, one of the crank arms seems to have a hard primer under the gunmetal colour and the other doesnt, weird, might not have been a matching pair, suppose you never know what...

I would measure the steerer tube too. Check the size before you buy, think my 91 lavadome is inch an 1/8th, worth checking.

If it 91 frame and forks you'll be needing threaded not threadless. Sometimes impact headsets come up on ebay, but may be pricey.

Think I had the originals, maybe marins as stated which weren't too bad but they did come with the pretty good ritchey pads and worked well. I remember selling my set for 40 quid and they were 3rd hand! so not cheapy cheap. That said, these look like copies, cheap bolts and copy pads.
