there was a royce ti on the bay the other day, or for ultimate function, if you can find one you could get an xtr!

Action Tec still makes a really nice ti bottom bracket and, as with most ti bottom brackets, you can change out the cartridge bearings (big points in my book).

Race Face taperlock are very nice and rebuildable - if you can find one (steel and ti versions)
Phil Wood are very nice too - available but may need some tracking down
Royce - ding dong!
Hope - discontinued years ago, needs special fitting tool too

Shimano LX is the best you'll get in the UK. They do still make XT but madison don't import it

Not new , obviously, but sometimes they pop up....I run UN91/2 XTR.
Just about the right balance of cost/performance (fit and forget...well..I take it out to lube the shell threads) and weight.
