Me too.. The Easton frame was as good as it got in 94. In 95, they came out with the "Ultimate" which was likely the same frame, just without the dominant "Easton" advertising attached.. My wish list: 95 A2FX 92 Easton 95 Ultimate

Sorry, I didn't see this till now. 1995 Barracudas and earlier are made to run cantilever brakes. You can run v-brakes, but I believe you have to swap the front derailleur and rear brake cables between those cable stops near the seatpost, then it will work without any modifications to the frame.

Also featured in an American mag, can't remember which one at the moment.. Kind of a cool concept back in the day..

Hmmm... I don't think a frame has to be steel in order to "rust". Aluminum oxidizes too, and I think it's certainly possible to an aluminum post to fuse into an aluminum frame. Doesn't help you, but I think it's possible..
