    1990 Muddy Fox Courier Prestige

It's time to let my MF Courier Prestige go as it just doesn't get ridden any more and that's a criminal waste of a classic! 21" c-c 1990 model, full Suntour (except BB) group, original bars, stem, grips. Flite saddle and Kalloy post. Wellgo pedals and clips. Slightly later period LX hubs with...

    Dia-Compe XCE Brakes

Fatigue has caught up with the straddle holder on the r/h front brake of my Courier Prestige - anyone out there with a pair (or even just one arm) of XCE brakes that they want to offload? :D

    Where to get Sealed Bearings

Delta Vs have strange bearings - the bottom one is a 'standard' headshok bearing and is easy to find but the upper one is a pain in the neck. My local bearing suppliers couldn't get hold of one so I ended up getting one online from the US.

Mountain Mayhem 2011 - Official Aftermath Thread

I wasn't retrobiking this year but it was great to see all you guys and gals out there - particular highlights included seeing Tim Davies on the Ti-Mega at the start, hearing Gav talk about passing folk downhill on his rigid Kona, and best of all the black and orange 'Dale which was a solid 20...

What shoes do you use with Onza pedals? Help needed...

I'm using my old pair of race shoes - Specialized carbons from about 4 yrs ago. No problems, and the newer Spesh shoes (which I also use) have pretty much the same soles.

Headshok removal/maintenance advice & links please

This is a good place to start http://www.fastglass.net/bike/headshok/index.html After the original Delta-V style of Pepperoni fork (when it officially became 'headshok') you should (I think) just be able to knock the fork out of the bike once the stem is removed. The earlier type had an allen...

    1992 Cannondale Delta V

If you're asking me rather than bobber61 then all I did was this - Medium wire wool Fine wire wool Wet and Dry paper of finer and finer grade up to 1200 grit Autosol Final coat of Meguiars NXT It was the first three stages that took the time, the last two were very easy and quick in...

    1992 Cannondale Delta V

Sorry, only just seen that this thread's been resurrected. In all honesty if I was doing it again I'd just get a pro to do it  But seeing as you've already started.... just keep at it, you'll get there in the end, especially with the welds.

    mavic chainset question

I've got one and use a standard Shimano UN51 BB in 113mm. To get the chainline spot-on I put a 3mm spacer on the drive-side cup. Works fine and yes, looks great :)

Best road descent in the UK

Christ! I bet that's interesting as you come into the corner at the bottom where the snowploughs have dug into the tarmac

Best road descent in the UK

I live in Ashover and haven't ridden up it in well over 10 years. Down is always the quickest way home though

Best road descent in the UK

You can get some serious speed down Winnatts but it's easier and 'safer' on Slack as the road is wider, straighter, and there aren't any sheep wandering around  Holme Moss down the Woodhead side also = silly speeds

Best road descent in the UK

It's not the most exciting climb or descent but Slack Hill between Matlock and Chesterfield takes some beating for outright speed. It's pretty straight and 1:7 for about 3/4 of a mile. With a strong tailwind (S or SW) I've seen 72mph more than once. Plenty of other great roads in the...

    Early Muddyfox Lovers Anonynmous

My Courier Prestige: [/img] I've since changed the seatpost to a black Kalloy steel one and the saddle to a not-as-nice-but fits-the-bike-better Velo. This is the bike I use to terrorise weekend warriors on £4K super full-sussers, and is also rigged up with guards and the matching MF...
