Train Stations are Retrobike Spotters heaven

Agreed, several times I've spotted a bike I remember from BITD, lots of BSO dross too! I guess most of the time we're in a hurry so don't have time to stop to look? Passing through Bristol Temple Meads last summer saw a couple of interesting looking bikes in this lot, didn't have enough time...

    Cracked Trek 8000

From your picture it looks to be a very straight and un stress fracture like? Might be worth getting it looked at by a professional frame builder for a 'grown up' view! I'd X-ray the joint to see what's going on inside, but that's quite easy for me to do :D. Alternatively a fibre optic camera...

    Cracked Trek 8000

I thought that only applied on some frames and only to the original purchaser :?. Still got to be worth a try though!

    Muc off !

I've used Muc-Off and it had a detremental effect on some black parts. I think as others have said it's a bit over strong, so maybe diluting it maybe the answer .

Workstand - anyone got one of these?

Workshop work stand. I've got one very similar and find it great, the ability to rotate the head/clamp is really useful :D. For moderate use I think it should be fine, but if you're going to be using one alot more like a shop then perhaps a Park or similar professional stand would be a better...

    1994 Kawasaki KMB 450

Re: Wow! There have been a wide range of Land Rover bikes over the years, some have been very good and others not so good, I haven't seen the current range up close to make a call on them yet :?. Land Rover bikes pre date Kawasaki's first try, I have a couple of Land Rover Moulton, APB's...

Most of them were made by Pacific Cycles, my KMB450 certainly was, with the highest spec (X1?)being a rebadged Pace :D

How many of you have been here 'cyclemuseum '

Yes, echoing the thanks, I've ridden that way before and they can be tricky if you're not careful. BTW, I'd be coming from the SE direction.

How many of you have been here 'cyclemuseum '

I saw it a few years ago when going somewhere else and intend to visit it one day. As MCsanandreas says, a good destination for a motorcycle ride .

which bike companies do you wish would make a comeback?

If bikes hadn't had evolved and changed we wouldn't be here now, would we . Or have I missed something :?: We wouldn't be able to appreciate the purity and simplicity of the bikes we now love, but BITD were just bikes?

    Removing cut off bolts ?

Hi there, The aluminium of the crown WILL expand before titanium or any type of steel. As there is a gap, have you tried to get some Plus Gas or Diesel fuel which is nice and runny, or failing that WD-40 on the bolt so that it runs onto the thread? Don't try and loosen it with an allen (Hex)...

    1997 Orange Clockwork

! That's a really good looking ride, nice work :D. Very understated compared with the original Slime green :!:. Tyres look great to me, gum/skin walls are what it could have had fitted BITD :?:.
