    MTB Based Slick Tyred couriers

My Trek 850 is still wearing Avocet Cross tyres with inverted treads, that I fitted years ago, got them in a new year sale at an LBS. I think they're now the Cross II, the tread pattern looks similar. Somebody mentioned the Onza Octopus which rings a bell with me, so does anybody remember the...

This sounds like a great idea, it would certainly make searching for a fix or tip you remember easier? ATB, Defender.

    Saracen Urban Cruiser

I like the anti theft idea! Not sure that the chav would notice before he tried to ride off on it? 'Suspected it wasn't quite finished, but thought I'd have a bit of fun ! Nice bike just the same, always had a soft spot for Saracens, I nearly bought one when I was looking for my first...

Any recommendations for bike wall or floor stand?

'Like 1,2 and 4 number 3 is as you say very home made, it'd benefit from some paint or stain to even up the colour of the various parts. I would need something quite special for my spaceframed Moulton APB's though?

Any recommendations for bike wall or floor stand?

That's the type of thing was refering to only a 'ready to fit' version, but it looks good and the price is too!

Any recommendations for bike wall or floor stand?

Sounds great, there are some good looking internal bike stands, that extend from floor to ceilling and hold two or three bikes. I may have seen some like this in the Colorado Cyclist, Nashbar or Performance Cycles catalogs a while back? Might try and find a picture later if work is quiet tonight!

    DCD's the pro's & cons?

Yes, but they go on for ever! Several notable celebrities and even a very prominent royal personage is supposed to have had one to be able to drive around London unnoticed?

    New Pace.....Reynolds.....yumyum

I agree about the colour, just looks right somehow. The 'new' Paces just don't seem to have that 'certain something' the older ones had? For example, those square frame tubes of the RC100/200's are iconic!

Guy Martin's Cotic Soul in Octane Magazine!

Thanks for that info on the bike, I wasn't actually refering to that particular bike, just any bike! I gave up reading PB (Performing Berks!) a long time ago, I'll see if someone at work has a copy I can blag a look at? I tend to read the classic bike mags these days, now and again the comic...

Guy Martin's Cotic Soul in Octane Magazine!

Sorry, looked a bit like a flat screen TV . I admire you not having a TV, I had a house that didn't have one for a while after it was stolen. I kept getting hassled by the TV Licencing people who couldn't believe I didn't have one! I hope you did some of Andy's weeding whilst you were there?

Guy Martin's Cotic Soul in Octane Magazine!

I quite agree about the lack of detail regarding the boat build, but I don't think he was either the editor or the producer of the series, so that really had very little to do with Guy himself? I tend to call people 'mate' partly because I'm not good a remembering names and partly habit...
