I agree with Dave, looks like a 1963 Classique with a 4D Holdworth number similar to increasing number of Classique frames in data base that have similar Holdsworth serials . Somewhat of a guess, but likely built at Holdworthy factory to Classique specs - thus explaining Holdsworth 4D serial.

Looks to me that's not just a C it is a C followed by a B signifying Claud Butler. Commonly seen on early Holdsworthy Clauds. Here's another example of a 1961Claud Coureur with letters CB near serial (from Dave's database):

FalconSS and Peachy! Frame features with original looking paint and decals certainly must be a Classique which according to catalogue lasted from 62 to 68 inc. No big distinguishing frame features other than paint and kit. There were a lot of CB frames like this built with Prugnat 62S lugs...

Undoubtedly a 1982 model year - the apparent first year for Holdsworth catalogue listing of the Avanti model. Seemingly next year's models often started factory production as early as middle of year before. So... quite conceivable #039295 was a "1982" Avanti actually built in December of 1981...

According to Kilgariff by 1959 it seems only Reynolds 531 was being used by Holdsworthy. So unless there is an identification mark for A&P somewhere I think the Coureur would have been plain gauge 531. (a 26.4mm seat post would point to plain 531 versus DB) Quote from Kilgariff Holdsworth...
