Many wonderful Yo Eddies here. When I'm rich I might just buy myself one, if I can somehow sneak it into the house...
I know it's going back a few years, but I noted a True Temper (steel?) handlebar on one of the first pics, and a 4130 steel Bonty stem on a later one. Are these two products (a) rare, (b) expensive, and most importantly (c) any good? I'm a big fab of steel (or Ti) over alu for the controls, you see.

I to like steel as old al scares me a bit, bonty stem comes up quite often and is usually £40-£30
And the handlebars are more common in the usa but seen one on here a wee bit.ago for £30 iirc. Go pn and treat your self, fats rock.

Thanks for the info about the steel parts. I particularly like the extra damping steel gives over alu, I'm not too bothered about adding an extra few hundred grams to have steel seat post, bar and stem, and I'm too scared to use carbon these days (I do have a carbon bar that's still going strong after 15 years, but I've just retired it to avoid pushing my luck).
Fat Chances look really really good. What are the main reasons to own such a frame over, say, a True Temper double butted DBR Apex / Axis frame? And are they better than Kleins?

I am not really convinced one high end frame is better than another, a well put together steel frame with nice geometry will ride well- for me fats were rare (living in scotland) had a great back story and the design seemed to be well thought out so always wanted to own one. The kleins are made out of the same stuff as coke cans so dont really count as proper mountain bikes :twisted:
