I saw this for sale today and am struggling to identify it. :facepalm:

Does anyone have a clue what it might be?

I wondered whether it might be an old Cannondale - and that u-brake under the chainstays dates it late 80's (right?).

cannondale are aluminium!


Wishbone Fox - these also came with u-brakes

There were also early Mongoose that had wishbone rear stays and u-brakes


*but I cant find a pic so maybe they didnt!

It's got an interesting seat tube/ wishbone/toptube lug arrangement married with a lugged headtube which pushes me towards thinkings it's a Raleigh Technium

The only other bike it could be is the Reflex ALX99, especially as, if you look at the areas where the black rattle can paint has scratched off, you can see blue and pink:

The Technium and the Reflex are basically the same frame, but nice in either form).

That's why I love this site - someone can ID a relatively rare bike from a few specks of paint on a roughass photo. Fantastic!
